Following the international break in April, FIFA has unveiled its latest ranking of the world’s best women’s national teams. On the African front, Nigeria has firmly retained its position as the continent’s top women’s side.

The "Super Falcons" are ranked 36th globally, comfortably ahead of all other African contenders. Completing the continental top three, South Africa holds second place at 58th in the world, while Ghana comes third, sitting 59th globally.

Morocco claims fourth place in Africa, while Zambia has sprung a surprise by breaking into the continent’s top five.
