Linafoot play-offs: FC Les Aigles du Congo bring down Mazembe!

On matchday 3 of the Linafoot play-offs, Football Club Les Aigles du Congo stunned everyone this Wednesday with a commanding 3-1 victory over TP Mazembe, handing the Ravens their first defeat in this crucial stage.
This is a resounding achievement for the young squad, proving they're not here just to make up the numbers.
From the very start, Les Aigles set the pace. Bileko showed the way in the 11th minute, finishing a physical duel with authority. Ten minutes later, he perfectly set up Kikwama “Ligezo” for the 2-0 lead.
With Mazembe on the ropes, they tried to fight back, but the defensive wall led by goalkeeper Joël Basadila Mazambi stood firm.
Les Aigles bring down the giants!
After the break, Mwaungulu gave the Ravens hope (51’), but Bileko, once again, punished the opposition’s defense with a lightning counterattack (74’).
In just two years of existence, Les Aigles have toppled the giants: VCLUB, DCMP, Lupopo, and now Mazembe. With 9 points from 3 matches, Papy Mbuyi’s men seize the lead, embodying boldness and freshness.
Their meteoric rise marks a turning point in the Congolese football landscape.
