Foot Africa understands that Orlando Pirates academy product Katlego Cwinyane has signed for Betway Premeirship outfit Orbit College on a free transfer.

This comes after the player parted ways with the Soweto giants via mutual consent as he was seeking game time.

Cwinyane was promoted to the Pirates first-team during the 2020/21 campaign but failed to establish himself in the squad, prompting a series of loan spells.

The 26-year-old striker had a successful spell with Sekhukhune United, helping them achieve automatic promotion from the second tier back in 2021.

He was on loan at Orbit last season, repeating the promotion feat as he chipped in with four goals and three assists in 17 matches, though he missed the PSL Promotion/Relegation playoffs due to injury.

Now, he is set for a sensational return to Mswenko Boys, where he will reunite with coach Pogiso Makhoye.

Sources have confirmed that Orbit beat fellow topflight side AmaZulu FC to the signature of ‘Kuruman’, as Cwinyane is fondly known.

It remains to be seen whether the center-forward will make his debut when his new club faces Mamelodi Sundowns on 20 January 2026.
