Villarreal is reportedly on the verge of reaching a preliminary agreement to sign Alex Freeman, the American right-back from Orlando City.

The 20-year-old player (1.88m), a U20 international with the United States, is renowned for his impressive physical attributes and significant room for growth. The "Yellow Submarine" is looking to strengthen its right flank, which has been weakened by injuries to Willy Kambwala and Logan Costa, as well as the departures of Raúl Albiol, Eric Bailly, and Kiko Femenía.

Freeman fits perfectly into the club’s sporting strategy: betting on young talents with high potential to develop them for the future. The big question now is whether the defender will finish the season in MLS or move to La Liga in the coming weeks to don the Villarreal shirt.
