Wydad Casablanca has formally refuted the allegations published Tuesday by South African media, claiming that South African coach Rhulani Mokwena and his staff have not received their salaries over the past eight months at the helm of the team.

Wydad clarifies the salary situation of Mokwena and his staff

According to the Kooora website, internal documents released by Wydad clearly show that the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach and his assistants have indeed received all their salaries since joining the club, with the exception of two months' pay still being processed.

The same source indicates that President Hicham Aït Menna has summoned Mokwena's agent, Steve Kapelushnikk, to understand the motivations behind these leaks and to identify those responsible, especially as this issue arises ahead of the highly anticipated Casablanca derby.

An agreement reached for Mokwena's stay until the end of the season
Furthermore, Moroccan radio station Radio Mars reports that an agreement has been reached between the Wydad president and Mokwena's agent, ensuring his stay in the position until the end of the season.

According to the same source, Mokwena has expressed his desire to continue his mission at the helm of the technical staff, while committing to achieving the set goal: finishing the season in second place, which guarantees qualification for the next CAF Champions League edition.
