Transfer Market: Salieu Drammeh on the verge of signing with Standard Liège
Standard Liège has found a replacement for Rafiki Saïd. Gambian winger Salieu Drammeh is expected in Liège this Wednesday to undergo a medical examination before signing his contract with the Belgian club.
Standard Liège hopes to officially announce the player's arrival as early as Thursday, just days after Rafiki Saïd's departure for Wolverhampton. A €2.25 million transfer According to information confirmed by Lillestrøm sporting director Espen Olsen, the Norwegian club has accepted Standard Liège's offer.
The deal is valued at approximately €2.25 million (nearly 30 million Norwegian kroner including bonuses), with around 25 million kroner guaranteed. The 23-year-old player was also keen to move to Belgium, which facilitated negotiations.
Lillestrøm loses a key player Regarded as one of Lillestrøm's standout players, Drammeh is set to leave the club despite upcoming European fixtures, as the Norwegian side is due to play Europa League qualifiers later this summer.
In anticipation of this departure, Lillestrøm recently signed Swedish winger Gustav Nordh from IK Brage.
