2026 Ballon d'Or: Serge Gnabry names his favorite
Just six days to go until the 2026 Ballon d’Or. The race for football’s most prestigious individual award promises another great spectacle. Serge Gnabry named his favorite on Tuesday.
The 70th Ballon d'Or ceremony will take place in London next Monday. It is set to bring together the best players on the planet, at the end of a season in which several contenders can legitimately hope to lift the trophy. The battle looks particularly close, with four or five candidates capable of making the difference in the final stages, including Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Ousmane Dembélé.
Gnabry votes for Kane
For the 2026 Ballon d'Or, individual performances, titles won and impact in major matches will carry significant weight when it comes to separating the favorites. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Serge Gnabry said he wants to see Harry Kane win the trophy.
“I hope it will be Harry Kane. It would be fantastic if he won it. You always wish that for a teammate. He had an incredible year. So, for me, he has certainly done enough to win it,” he said.
