One week before the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony, the organisers have appointed Thierry Henry to host the event.

Just one week to go before finding out the winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or. While the suspense remains total in these final days, the organisers of the prestigious individual award have just revealed the identities of the duo who will present the ceremony, which will take place in one week at the London Palladium. It is the well-known duo who work on CBS Sports on Champions League nights: Thierry Henry and British journalist Kate Scott.

Thierry Henry delighted with the choice

A few moments after the announcement that he had been chosen, Thierry Henry reacted. “It is an honour for me to host the Ballon d’Or this year. London is the city where I feel at home, and I have a deep connection with its football culture and passionate supporters. So it feels entirely natural for me to host this ceremony here alongside my friend and colleague Kate. This evening promises to be exceptional and will celebrate the very best that football has to offer,” said the 1998 World Cup winner.

See you in one week, then.
