A surprise January heist: The Senegalese Premier League defender on PSG's radar
Paris Saint Germain are reportedly targeting Crystal Palace defender Jaydee Canvot, with the Senegalese descended youngster understood to be interested in joining the French champions if they make a formal offer.
The 20 year old centre back has emerged as a potential defensive reinforcement for Luis Enrique's side following an impressive first season in the Premier League.
According to Football Insider's 13 October report, Canvot is attracted by the prospect of returning to France and would be receptive to an approach from PSG.
However, Crystal Palace remain determined to retain the defender, whose contract runs until June 2029.
No official bid or negotiations between the two clubs have been confirmed.

Jaydee Canvot reportedly interested in PSG move
PSG's interest in Canvot has reportedly intensified after the defender established himself in English football.
Football Insider claims the former Toulouse youngster is flattered by the attention from the French champions and would seriously consider a transfer if the opportunity arose.
The Parisian club have been monitoring Canvot for some time.
As reported, both PSG and Barcelona expressed interest in the defender earlier this year, with the French club having followed his development before his move to England.
Canvot's age, versatility and experience at the highest level make him an interesting long term defensive option.
Nevertheless, PSG have yet to turn their reported interest into a formal transfer proposal.
Why Crystal Palace are reluctant to sell Canvot
Crystal Palace have strong reasons to resist losing one of their emerging defensive talents.
Canvot joined the London club from Toulouse in September 2025 and quickly established himself as an important member of the squad.
He made 36 appearances across all competitions during the 2025 /26 campaign, contributing to Palace's historic UEFA Conference League triumph.
The defender has continued to play an important role under head coach Pierre Sage starting five of the club's opening six Premier League matches this season.
According to a second Football Insider report published on 14 October, Palace are under no immediate financial pressure to sell.
However, sources suggest the Premier League club could find it difficult to reject a substantial offer from PSG.
The situation recalls Palace's previous defensive transfer challenges, including the uncertainty surrounding Marc Guéhi that preceded Canvot's arrival from Toulouse in 2025.
With his long term contract providing considerable protection, Palace would retain a strong negotiating position if discussions eventually begin.
Could Jaydee Canvot represent Senegal?
Canvot's situation also carries interest for African football supporters because of his Senegalese heritage.
Born in Argenteuil, France on 29 July 2006, the defender has Senegalese, Guadeloupean and Martinican family roots.
He has represented France at youth international level but has not established himself as a senior international.
His background makes his international future an additional point of interest, although there is no confirmed indication that he intends to switch his sporting allegiance to Senegal.
A move to PSG could give the defender another major platform to develop his career and potentially strengthen his international prospects.
What happens next for Jaydee Canvot?
The next step depends on whether PSG decide to formalise their reported interest.
Canvot is understood to be receptive to joining the French champions but Crystal Palace remain hopeful of keeping him beyond the upcoming transfer windows.
His contract until 2029 means the English club are not facing an immediate deadline to negotiate a departure.
PSG, meanwhile, must decide whether the defender's potential justifies pursuing an agreement with Palace.
For now, the transfer remains speculative rather than an active deal.
Nevertheless, Canvot's reported willingness to consider a return to France could become significant if PSG step up their pursuit in the coming months.
