AC Milan is interested in a Barcelona center-back
Ruben Amorim has been vocal and relentless in his push for Milan to bring in reinforcements on the left side of their defense.
Word around the Italian giants is that they're preparing to make some serious noise when the winter transfer window opens, with Barcelona's Alejandro Balde sitting at the very top of their wishlist. Insider Ekrem Konur has revealed that talks between the two clubs are already underway and moving along.
Rúben Amorim wants reinforcements for the left flank
The Rossoneri boss just isn't convinced by what Diego Moreira has been offering in that left wing-back role, and he's been calling for someone with more experience to step in. In Amorim's mind, Balde fits the bill perfectly for what he's trying to build tactically.
The 22-year-old Spaniard has still been turning out for Barcelona during the 2025/26 campaign, but he's been gradually slipping out of the regular starting eleven, and that shift has caught the attention of clubs across Europe who are now circling.
Premier League sides are keeping tabs on the situation too, but Milan aren't about to let this one slip through their fingers — they're set on beating everyone else to the punch and getting the deal wrapped up as soon as January comes around.
