Achraf Dari chooses a different destination, away from Al-Ahly!
Moroccan international Achraf Dari has been unable to secure a unilateral termination of his contract with Al Ahly SC, after the Egyptian club moved swiftly to settle all outstanding financial dues, effectively closing the door on a free departure and solidifying their legal hold on the defender.
According to exclusive information obtained by Africafoot, this development contradicts earlier statements made by Zouhair Dari, the player's father and agent, who had indicated in a previous interview that contract termination was being explored. Al Ahly's prompt action in clearing all arrears has rendered any unilateral rupture impossible under the terms of the agreement.
Faced with this contractual dead end, Dari—accompanied by his father—has had to pursue a sporting solution that allows him to regain regular playing time. The 25-year-old has therefore agreed to join Swedish side Malmö FF on loan until the end of the current season.
A source close to the matter told Africafoot that the arrangement includes Al Ahly covering the salary difference to facilitate the move. The deal enables the centre-back to restart his competitive rhythm without breaking the contractual ties that still bind him to the Cairo-based club.
