After 18 Month Ban Ends: Paul Pogba Ready for Return to Football

Paul Pogba’s long wait to return to professional football is nearly over with Monaco coach Adi Hutter confirming that the Frenchman's expected to make his debut after the October international break.

From Ban to Redemption

The 32 year old hasn't played an official game since September 2023 with Juventus when he was suspended for testing positive for testosterone.

His initial 4 year ban was later reduced to 18 month allowing him to join Monaco on free transfer last summer.

Marked Return Date

Pogba has been in full training since July but Monaco preferred to give him gradual recovery plan.

Hutter revealed that his first appearance will likely come on 18 October away to Angers while his home debut could be against Tottenham in the Champions League week later.

Pogba’s Words

Speaking to beIN Sports, Pogba said:

"I don’t want to return unless I'm fully myself. People want to see the real Paul Pogba on the pitch"...
