Al-Nassr: Joao Félix wants to return to European football

Joao Félix may not stay in Saudi Arabia for long. The Portugal international has confirmed his desire to return to playing in Europe. An analysis conducted by the experts at SciSports identifies Newcastle United as a destination suited to his profile, ahead of Inter Milan and Manchester City.

SciSports’ assessment is based on several criteria, including the teams’ style of play and the possibilities for integrating the player into their system. Newcastle United therefore emerges as a potential destination for the 26-year-old forward. Inter Milan and Manchester City are also mentioned in the analysis. For now, no negotiations or official offers from these clubs have been reported.

A move to Inter could present a particular difficulty: Joao Félix has already played on loan for their Milan rivals, AC Milan. This experience could complicate a potential transfer to the Nerazzurri, although there is nothing to confirm that this option is actually being considered by the club.

A contract expiring in 2027

Joao Félix joined Al-Nassr in July 2025 and remains under contract with the Saudi club until June 30, 2027. His contractual situation could therefore weigh on discussions if a return to Europe materialises. With 58 caps and 13 goals for the Portugal national team, the forward has significant international experience.

For now, his desire to return to Europe is the main known element of the situation. It remains to be seen which club would be ready to take action and under what conditions Al-Nassr would agree to let him leave. His market value is estimated at €28 million by Transfermarkt.
