According to Nostalgie TV Africa, this religious service was organized at the initiative of Professor Césaire Kpenonhoun, a judge at the Supreme Court of Benin and president of the Association for the Development of Glazoué. The prayer was held in memory of Jorge Horacio Messi, Lionel Messi’s father, as Argentina prepares to face Benin on October 6 in Buenos Aires.
Aklampa is one of the districts of the commune of Glazoué, located approximately 224 km from Cotonou. Through this initiative, the participants wished to pay tribute to the Argentine star’s father, beyond borders and the world of football.
