Viktor Gyökeres’s future at Arsenal is already said to be uncertain. According to TEAMtalk, the Swedish striker would be ready to push for a transfer during the winter window, frustrated by his lack of playing time.

Gyökeres is no longer a regular starter

Having joined Arsenal in the summer of 2025 from Sporting CP, Gyökeres had raised high expectations thanks to his performances in Portugal. In his first Premier League season, the Sweden international scored 14 goals and provided one assist in 36 league appearances, including 26 starts.

However, his situation is said to have changed since the start of the new season. The 28-year-old has had to settle for three league appearances off the bench. His entourage is reportedly unhappy with his limited use.

Several clubs are reportedly monitoring his situation

Atlético de Madrid are said to be among the clubs interested in the Swedish striker. AC Milan, Juventus and Galatasaray have also reportedly been linked with him in previous media reports. Under contract with Arsenal until the summer of 2030, Gyökeres would therefore not be free to leave without negotiations between the clubs.

A move as early as January remains to be confirmed. The coming weeks will determine whether the striker’s lack of playing time actually leads him to request a departure or whether his situation can change in London.
