Bryan Zaragoza set to join Barcelona

Bryan Zaragoza looks poised to continue his career in La Liga. According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish winger from Bayern Munich is on the verge of joining Espanyol Barcelona on a loan deal that includes a mandatory purchase option.

A fresh start after multiple loan spells

Having joined Bayern Munich in 2024 following a loan from Granada, Bryan Zaragoza never managed to establish himself in Germany. Since his arrival, the Spanish international has gone through several loan moves, featuring for Osasuna, Celta Vigo, and AS Roma, where his most recent stint was particularly quiet, making just six appearances.

At 24, the player could now return to La Liga with Espanyol, a league and environment he knows well and which could offer him a fresh opportunity to rediscover consistency.

Mandatory buyout set at €8 million

According to available information, all parties have reached an agreement. The deal will take the form of a loan with a mandatory buyout clause. Espanyol is set to pay €8 million to secure the winger's permanent transfer at the end of the loan spell.

No official announcement has yet been made by the clubs involved, but the deal appears to be moving towards completion. For Bayern, this move could finally bring clarity to the future of a player who has never quite found his place in the German squad.
