Chelsea: Mathis Amougou set to leave the Blues

Mathis Amougou

Although he only joined Chelsea last January, Cameroonian midfielder Mathis Amougou is already set to depart the Blues this summer.

Back in January, Mathis Amougou signed for Chelsea from ASSE in a €15 million move. Now, Amougou is on his way out, with a transfer to Strasbourg on the cards. The Cameroonian midfielder is expected to arrive in Alsace this Friday, July 11, and, according to L’Équipe, will sign a contract running until 2030.

This season, Amougou made only two appearances, one in the Premier League against Southampton (4-0) and another in the Conference League against Warsaw (0-3). Mathis Amougou did, however, win the UEFA Europa Conference League with Chelsea. The transfer fee has not yet been disclosed.
