Democratic Republic of Congo: TP Mazembe crowned 2025-2026 champions

The 2025-2026 season of the Linafoot Premier League has come to a close. After a fierce battle that lasted until the final stretch with the Congo Eagles, TP Mazembe emerged victorious. The Ravens officially clinched the title after defeating Celeste 2-0 at home on Saturday evening.

Marc Diouf opened the scoring for the Ravens from the penalty spot in the 21st minute, before Bongili Bienga sealed the contest with a second goal in the 52nd. It was a dominant and controlled performance from start to finish against Celeste, who ended the playoff round at the bottom of the table without a single win in 14 matches.

With 30 points, Mazembe secured their 21st national title. It was a season defined by consistency, tactical discipline, and a strong mentality in the big moments. Suleiman Rahou and his players delivered when it mattered most.
The Ravens will represent the Democratic Republic of Congo in the African Champions League next season.
