FIFA Series 2026: Namibia falls to Kazakhstan

Competing in the FIFA Series 2026, Namibia got off to a rough start in their March international break, falling 2-0 to Kazakhstan on March 25 at the Astana Arena.

Right from kickoff, the Kazakhs seized control of the match. Their dominance quickly paid off as Yuri Vorogovskiy opened the scoring in the 13th minute. It was a tough start for the Brave Warriors, who found themselves chasing the game against a well-organized opponent.

After the break, Namibia showed more intent, displaying greater aggression and pushing forward. But just like in the first half, they lacked the finishing touch. Late in the match, Kazakhstan capitalized on Namibia’s shortcomings: Askhat Kasym doubled the lead in the 80th minute, sealing the result once and for all.
