Warren Zaïre-Emery faced a tougher start to the season, to the point where his place in the France squad was questioned. This Sunday morning, in an interview with Téléfoot, he explained how he managed to turn things around.

Warren Zaïre-Emery also looked ahead to the 2026 World Cup with Les Bleus. For the tournament scheduled this summer, the Parisian midfielder seems well-positioned.

"My comeback? I'd say I asked myself the right questions. I worked on myself, and it happened naturally. The France U21 team and coach Gérard Baticle helped me a lot. I told myself I wanted to come back without any pressure, to rediscover that confidence. I analyzed myself: I was missing intensity and game awareness. I think I need to keep going in that direction. I had moments when it was really tough, but now I feel good and just want to keep going. It's every kid's dream to play for the France national team and wear the senior jersey. When you're on the list, you tell yourself you're among the best French players. There will be a lot of competition and you have to give everything to earn your spot. I haven't booked any holidays…", the Frenchman said.
