Frank Anguissa becomes a serious option for Inter Milan
Frank Zambo Anguissa could change clubs in summer 2027. With his contract at Napoli expiring next June, the Cameroonian midfielder is attracting growing interest from Inter Milan, who are closely monitoring the development of his situation.
Renewal with Napoli becomes complicated
According to Tuttosport, talks between Frank Zambo Anguissa and Napoli over extending their partnership have stalled. The main disagreement is reportedly financial. The Cameroonian currently earns around €3.6 million net per season, while his entourage is said to have requested a salary close to €6 million for an extension. A significant difference that has considerably slowed negotiations.
This situation has not gone unnoticed in Milan. According to Tuttosport, Inter are closely following the situation and could consider making a move if Anguissa were to leave Napoli as a free agent in 2027. Inter’s interest in Anguissa is not new, either. The Milanese club had already monitored the player when he was playing for Olympique de Marseille, and then showed further interest in him in 2025 when his contract with Napoli was nearing its end.
A key figure at Napoli
Arriving at Napoli in 2021, initially on loan from Fulham, Anguissa gradually established himself as an important part of the Neapolitan midfield. According to Tuttosport, the Cameroonian has already made 179 appearances and scored 15 goals for the Italian club. He also played a part in Napoli’s two Serie A titles, won in 2023 and 2025.
His future nevertheless remains uncertain. If negotiations with Napoli do not resume, Anguissa could become one of the most sought-after experienced midfielders on the free-agent market in summer 2027. Inter are currently among the clubs monitoring the situation.
