Gabon: Sébastien Migné takes charge of the Panthers! (Official)

Just days after the 2026 World Cup, Sébastien Migné has left Haiti to sign with Gabon, who are banking on his experience to revive the Panthers.

Gabon has found its new head coach. Indeed, FEGAFOOT has officially announced the appointment of Sébastien Migné at the helm of the Panthers, the day after his departure from Haiti. The French coach parted ways “by mutual agreement and amicably” with the Haitian federation before obtaining his release letter.

However, this choice is far from random. At 54, Migné boasts a wealth of experience in African football, having managed in Congo, DR Congo, Kenya, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea. His recent run at the 2026 World Cup with Haiti also weighed heavily in Gabon's decision.

Nevertheless, his mission promises to be a delicate one. He’ll need to revive a squad hungry for results, prepare for the 2027 AFCON qualifiers, and lay the groundwork for a possible 2030 World Cup campaign, all while gradually managing the transition from the team’s veteran core.
