Galatasaray: Leroy Sané threatened with being dropped
Leroy Sané is going through a difficult period at Galatasaray. According to information from Fanatik, the Turkish club's management is dissatisfied with the German winger's performances and has summoned him for an individual meeting.
Unhappy management
The management of Galatasaray is particularly expecting greater defensive involvement from Sané. The 30-year-old must explain the reasons for his start to the season, which the club's management considers insufficient. According to Fanatik, his situation could become even more difficult if he fails to reverse the trend in the next two matches against Kasımpaşa in the league and then FC Barcelona in the Champions League. He could therefore be dropped from the squad if his disappointing performances continue.
Since the start of the season, Sané has struggled to regain his influence. The former Bayern Munich player has scored neither a goal nor provided an assist in seven official appearances for Galatasaray. His output had already raised questions during his first season in Turkey. Sané finished the campaign with just seven goals in 43 appearances.
Sané dropped by Germany
This dip in form has also had consequences at international level. New Germany head coach Jürgen Klopp did not include him in his extended squad during the most recent international break.
Sané must therefore quickly rediscover his form if he wants to regain Galatasaray's trust and return to the national team's plans. The upcoming fixtures against Kasımpaşa and Barça could already prove decisive for the rest of his time in Turkey.
