Uncertainty surrounds the fitness of Paris Saint Germain midfielder Desire Doue ahead of the highly anticipated clash with Barcelona on 1 October in Champions league group stage.

Doubts over recovery

According to L'Equipe, the 19 year old hasn't featured since suffering injury during France's match against Ukraine earlier this month.

While return is expected soon, his readiness for Barca remains unclear.

France call up in doubt

The report added that Doue may lack sufficient game time before Didier Deschamps names his France squad on Thursday for October's international fixtures.

PSG's already hinted at frustration with the French coach, indirectly blaming him for aggravating injuries to both Doue & Ousmane Dembele.

Key role at PSG

Doue was one of PSG's standout players last season and recently ranked 14th in the 2025 Ballon d’Or voting.

Meanwhile teammate Dembele who scooped the prestigious award is ruled out until mid October.
