Junior Olaitan: “We wanted to react after the last match”
Beşiktaş secured an important home victory against RAMS Başakşehir (2-0) on matchday 9 of the Turkish championship. Junior Olaitan, who scored the second goal for the Black and Whites, spoke after the match and stressed his team's determination to bounce back after its previous game:
We wanted to react after the last match. We did on the pitch what we wanted to do. We want to give our best, regardless of the results of the other matches. If we had not won, the gap to the leaders would have widened. We want to continue in this vein.
Through these comments, the player highlighted the importance of remaining focused on Beşiktaş's performances rather than relying on the results of its rivals. The victory over Başakşehir therefore allows the club to pursue its objectives with greater confidence.
