Lesley Ugochukwu: the Franco-Nigerian midfielder close to Galatasaray

Lesley Ugochukwu could soon be on the move. The 22-year-old Franco-Nigerian midfielder is reportedly close to signing with Galatasaray, according to Fabrizio Romano.

A verbal agreement has reportedly been reached between Galatasaray and Burnley for a loan deal with an option to buy. That option could become mandatory under certain conditions. The total transfer fee could reach up to €30 million.

Having joined Burnley last summer after a stint at Chelsea, Ugochukwu delivered a solid season in the Premier League. He featured in 35 league matches, starting 27 of them, scoring three goals and providing one assist. Despite Burnley’s relegation to the Championship, his performances caught the eye of Galatasaray, who are keen to strengthen their midfield.
