Liverpool: Thierry Henry takes aim at Mohamed Salah
Liverpool: Thierry Henry takes aim at Mohamed Salah

Now it's Thierry Henry's turn—the Arsenal legend—to take a swipe at Mohamed Salah. The Frenchman didn't hold back when it came to the Egyptian star.

As a pundit for CBS, Thierry Henry addressed Mohamed Salah's exclusion by Liverpool, focusing particularly on the winger's public statement. Henry clearly took issue with Salah's words. After Liverpool's dramatic 3-3 draw with Leeds United on Saturday, Salah vented his frustration: "I'm very, very disappointed. I've done so much for this club over the years, especially last season. Now, I'm sitting on the bench and I don't know why. It feels like the club has thrown me under the bus. That's how I feel. It's very clear to me that someone wanted me to take all the blame. I was given a lot of promises this summer, and so far, I've been on the bench for three games, so I can't say those promises have been kept. I've often said I have a good relationship with the coach, and suddenly, there is no relationship at all. I don't know why, but I feel like someone doesn't want me at the club anymore."

Henry wasn't impressed by this outburst, and he made it clear: "I had problems with Wenger, with Guardiola... Have you ever heard me talk about it publicly? Never. When you play for a club, you have to protect your club at all costs. No matter what happens behind closed doors, you protect the club. You protect your teammates, the staff, your manager... You can be angry, frustrated, disagree... But you don't air your dirty laundry in public. Especially when the team is struggling. You wait, you sort it out internally, and if you want to leave or speak your mind, you do it at the right time. I understand Mo's ego, his frustration—he scores 38 goals and finds himself on the bench... But there comes a moment when you have to put the team before yourself."
