Mannschaft: Tension rises between Germany and Jürgen Klopp

A hot favorite since Julian Nagelsmann's departure, Jürgen Klopp has reportedly reached an agreement with the German Football Association to take over as head coach until the 2030 World Cup.

German football is on the verge of a new era. According to the latest reports from Germany, the German Football Association (DFB) has found common ground with Jürgen Klopp to hand him the reins of the Mannschaft until 2030. This outcome comes as no surprise, as the former Liverpool manager has been the clear front-runner to succeed Julian Nagelsmann for several weeks.

However, one final hurdle remains before the official announcement, expected as early as this Saturday if the federation’s schedule holds. The DFB still needs to settle matters with the Red Bull group, where the German coach currently holds a strategic role alongside Oliver Mintzlaff.

As such, talks between the two parties are set to begin early next week to finalize his departure. Once the green light is given, Klopp can officially focus on rebuilding the national team ahead of Euro 2028.
