Mateo Kovacic targeted by Juventus

Juventus are reportedly studying Mateo Kovacic’s situation ahead of summer 2027. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Croatia international is among the players who could interest the Italian club as it looks to strengthen its midfield.

A contract approaching its expiry

Kovačić is currently under contract with Manchester City until June 30, 2027. If no new contract is signed, Juventus could begin talks with the player as early as next January to prepare for a move during the 2027-2028 season.

In this scenario, the Turin club would not have to pay a transfer fee. Juventus would therefore be closely monitoring developments regarding the player’s contract situation.

Juventus keeping an eye on the Croatian

According to Football Italia, Kovačić’s experience and qualities would be particularly appreciated in Turin. At 32, the midfielder has extensive top-level experience and could represent an interesting option for Juventus.

For now, however, this is only an expression of interest. No agreement has been announced, and the Croatian’s future will depend in particular on his situation at Manchester City in the coming months.
