Mercato: Young Africans have reached an agreement with Al Ittihad for Aziz Ki's return to Tanzania

After just a few months in Libya, Stéphane Aziz Ki is set to return to Tanzania. Young Africans sent their offer to Al Ittihad on August 13, and according to journalist Micky Jnr, the Libyan club has given its approval. The signing is now imminent.

Deal details

Yanga has opened its checkbook to bring back their star. The total offer amounts to $500,000: $300,000 paid immediately upon signing, and $200,000 to be transferred no later than January 2027. The source adds that a further $300,000 will come from the player’s camp to complete the deal.

Aziz Ki had reportedly made it clear at the end of last season that he didn’t want to stay at Al Ittihad. The path was clear. Yanga had already reached a verbal agreement with the player several weeks ago. The club-to-club agreement is a major step forward.

The Burkinabè international, with 21 caps and 3 goals, knows the Young Africans inside out. He spent four seasons there, enough time to become the best player in the Tanzanian Premier League and a true superstar in the country.

After his time at Yanga, he tried his luck with Wydad AC in January 2025, followed by a brief stint in Libya with Al Ittihad since January 2026. Now, the 30-year-old midfielder sets his sights on Dar es Salaam once again.
