Nottingham Forest announces the departure of Willy Boly

Nottingham Forest has officially announced the departure of Willy Boly this Wednesday, June 10. The Ivorian defender, who joined the Reds in 2022, will not have his contract renewed. He will officially become a free agent on June 30.

This marks the end of a three-year partnership between the Ivorian international Willy Boly and Nottingham Forest. The former Porto and Wolverhampton defender played 47 matches in a Forest shirt, scoring two goals and providing one assist. This past season proved to be extremely challenging, as the Ivorian international suffered a lengthy injury, featuring for just 91 minutes and making no appearances in the Premier League.

At 35 years old, Willy Boly is now a free agent without any commitments. The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations champion with Ivory Coast is now on the lookout for a new challenge. Experience and determination are never lacking in his game.
