Back to business for Ibrahim Sangaré. After the 2026 World Cup with Ivory Coast, the Nottingham Forest midfielder rejoined his teammates in the Algarve and met his new manager.

Appointed in early July, Oliver Glasner is leading his first training camp with the squad. And Sangaré is already eager to work under him. On his first impression: “It was great to meet the new coach. We didn’t have much time to talk since I just arrived, but from the very first session we were able to chat briefly.”

At 28, the Ivorian international is entering his fourth season with the Reds. He hopes that the Austrian manager’s experience will be a real asset for the squad.

Ready for a fresh start

Under contract until 2029, Sangaré is determined to take his game to the next level. After scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists last season, he also shone for the Elephants at the World Cup with an assist against Curaçao. “I’m really looking forward to starting the new season with him. I hope that with all his experience, he’ll bring a lot to the team.”
