Official: Nico González extends his contract with Juventus
Juventus have decided to continue with Nico González. The Turin club have officially announced the extension of the Argentine winger’s contract until June 30, 2030.
A new contract after his return to Turin
Having joined Juventus in the summer of 2024 from Fiorentina, Nico González endured a first season disrupted by physical problems. He subsequently joined Atlético Madrid on loan for the 2025-2026 season, with an option for a permanent transfer subject to certain conditions.
As his spell in Spain did not result in a permanent transfer, the Argentine returned to Turin with the aim of relaunching his career. According to Juventus’ official statement, he now has 45 appearances and seven goals in the Bianconeri shirt. The club particularly highlighted his attacking versatility, experience and personality, qualities considered valuable for the squad managed by Luciano Spalletti.
A start to the season that convinced the board
Nico González made a strong start to the 2026-2027 season, scoring twice in five appearances. His performances strengthened the club’s determination to continue with him. This contract extension until 2030 therefore represents a vote of confidence.
For the player, it offers renewed stability after a period marked by injuries and a spell in Spain. The challenge now will be to maintain this positive momentum over time and remain physically available.
