Official: Savinho leaves Manchester City for Tottenham
It’s now official: Savinho is leaving Manchester City to sign with Tottenham. The Brazilian’s transfer is a major deal, potentially reaching nearly 100 million euros with the various bonuses included.
A record sale for Manchester City
According to reports, Tottenham will pay £75 million—about 87.6 million euros—with an additional £10 million possible in bonuses. Even without factoring in all the bonuses, this deal becomes the biggest sale in the history of Manchester City. The previous record was held by Julián Álvarez, who moved to Atlético de Madrid for approximately 75 million euros.
Having joined Manchester City in the summer of 2024 from Girona for 25 million euros, Savinho now leaves the club after making 87 appearances, scoring seven goals, and providing 16 assists.
Tottenham makes a statement in the market
Tottenham had been monitoring Savinho’s situation for several weeks and finally reached an agreement with Manchester City to secure the Brazilian winger. This transfer is part of a particularly ambitious transfer window for the London club.
Tottenham had already made several major investments, notably with the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Mateus Fernandes, and Jan Paul van Hecke. For Savinho, this move marks a new chapter after his spell at Manchester City and could offer him a different role in the Spurs’ sporting project.
