Paul Pogba offered to this second-division club
Paul Pogba could be heading to Turkey. A free agent since August 19, the former France international has reportedly been offered to Bursaspor, who currently compete in the Turkish second division. According to Fotomaç, the club has reportedly welcomed the possibility.
An unexpected option in Turkey
Without a club since leaving AS Monaco, Paul Pogba has been training individually while waiting to find a new team. His representatives have reportedly recently stepped up their search to find him a project.
According to Fotomaç, they have therefore made contact with Bursaspor, where the Frenchman's profile would not have gone unnoticed. The second-division club is seeking to return to the Süper Lig after leaving it at the end of the 2018–2019 season. After eight league matches, Bursaspor sit second in the standings. Pogba's arrival could therefore fit in with the club's promotion ambitions.
Pogba wants to revive his career
At 33, the midfielder is trying to regain stability after several difficult seasons. His return to competitive action with Monaco did not provide a lasting boost to his career, notably because of new physical problems. He made only six appearances for Monaco throughout last season.
Despite this difficult period, his honors and experience remain significant. The 2018 World Cup winner with France also has 91 caps for Les Bleus. Several MLS clubs have reportedly also expressed interest in recent months. For now, Bursaspor appears to be another possibility, but no definitive contract offer has yet been finalized.
