PSG: legend Nambatingue Tokomon has passed away!

The former Chadian player Nambatingue Tokomon has passed away. He notably played for PSG.

PSG lost one of its former icons this Tuesday. Ex-striker for the Parisian club from 1980 to 1985, Nambatingue Tokomon died at the age of 73. The former Chadian international had been weakened by serious health problems in recent months. Arriving in the capital at age 28, Toko scored 43 goals in 171 matches in PSG colors.

On September 28, 1982, he became the first ever goalscorer in the club’s history in a European competition, netting against Lokomotiv Sofia in the Cup Winners’ Cup round of 16 (5-1). He also bagged a brace, including a stunning bicycle kick in front of the Parc des Princes crowd. With Paris Saint-Germain, he lifted two Coupe de France trophies (1982, 1983).
