Thiago Silva leaves Fluminense

Thiago Silva, 41, is leaving Fluminense. The Brazilian club has announced the early termination of his contract.

The Brazilian defender had returned to his homeland in 2024 after four seasons with Chelsea. This season, he played 46 matches, scored 4 goals, and provided 1 assist. According to Fabrizio Romano, Silva is looking to return to Europe in hopes of securing a spot at the 2026 World Cup. His former club, AC Milan, could be interested in strengthening their defense as early as January.
