Transfer: Bruno Guimarães signs for Arsenal in €87m deal!

Premier League champions Arsenal have completed the signing of Brazil international Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle United, according to multiple reliable reports.

Arsenal finally land Guimarães after prolonged negotiations

Renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on his official Facebook account, posting:

“ BREAKING: Bruno Guimarães to Arsenal... Here we go!”

Romano reported that Arsenal reached a full agreement with Newcastle United following weeks of negotiations. The Gunners had already agreed personal terms with the Brazilian midfielder in July, paving the way for the transfer to be finalized.

The deal is valued at £75 million (€87 million), with Guimarães set to strengthen Mikel Arteta's midfield ahead of the new season.

The 28-year-old joined Newcastle United from French side Olympique Lyon in January 2022 and was under contract with the Magpies until June 2028.

During the 2025/26 season, Guimarães made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.
