Transfer: Madou Zon signs with APR FC in Rwanda

Madou Zon, one of the key architects behind the Congolese league title 2025-2026, has left TP Mazembe. As a free agent, he has signed a two-year contract with APR FC, one of the powerhouses of the Rwanda Premier League.

Madou Zon has put pen to paper on a two-year deal that ties him to the Rwandan Army club until 2028. After arriving in Lubumbashi in 2023, the 28-year-old Burkinabé international initially featured as a central defender before making his mark in midfield.

As captain, the Burkinabé led the Ravens to the Linafoot 1 championship in the 2025-2026 season, following their 2024 triumph. Madou Zon won't feel out of place in Rwanda, as he'll be reunited with two fellow countrymen in Kigali: Raoul Memel Dao and Cheikh Djibril Ouattara.
