Transfer: Malian forward Fousseni Diabaté joins Kasımpaşa!
The Turkish club Kasımpaşa officially announced on Tuesday the signing of Malian midfielder Fousseni Diabaté during the current transfer window.
Diabaté signs with Kasımpaşa for two seasons
The player has committed to a two-year deal, with an option for a further season, after successfully passing his medical examinations, as the club confirmed on its official ( X ) page.
At 29 years old, Diabaté brings a wealth of experience, notably with Swiss side Lausanne, where he made 67 appearances over two seasons, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists.
He has also earned 11 caps for the Mali national team between 2023 and 2024, featuring in the latest Africa Cup of Nations.
Diabaté was close to joining Saudi club Al-Taawoun, but the management’s decision to sign Frenchman Romain Faivre made Diabaté the second choice. As a result, he became Kasımpaşa’s top target to bolster their midfield.
His current market value is estimated at €1.2 million, according to specialist website Transfermarkt.
