To replace him, Monaco has set its sights on another Lion of Teranga: Pape Matar Sarr. According to The Telegraph, Monaco officials have inquired with Tottenham about the status of the 23-year-old midfielder.

A product of Génération Foot academy, Pape Matar Sarr is no stranger to French football. He wore the Metz shirt from 2020 to 2022, making 58 appearances before moving to the Premier League. For the past four seasons, he has played for Tottenham.

The Senegal international has 42 caps and 4 goals to his name, and is valued at €30 million according to Transfermarkt. Galatasaray are also monitoring the situation, but currently face financial hurdles set by Tottenham.
