UFOA B U-17: Semi-final pairings confirmed

The semi-final pairings have been confirmed at the UFOA B U-17 tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the 2027 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco. Ghana will face Côte d’Ivoire, while Burkina Faso will meet Niger.

Ghana vs Côte d’Ivoire, a rematch of the 2025 final

Ghana began with wins 1-0 over Togo and 3-1 over Benin, before drawing 0-0 with Burkina Faso. The Black Starlets finished the group stage top of Group A with 7 points.
As for Côte d’Ivoire, they qualified in second place from Group B with 2 points, after two draws: 1-1 against Niger and 1-1 against Nigeria on Saturday at the 4 August Stadium.
The two teams will meet again after the 2025 final, which was won by the Elephants on penalties.

Niger vs Burkina Faso, an open contest

Niger are the surprise package of this semi-final stage. After earning a 1-1 draw against defending champions Côte d’Ivoire, the U-17 Mena defeated Nigeria 2-1 and finished the group stage top of Group B with 4 points.
They will face Burkina Faso. The U-17 Stallions first drew 0-0 with Benin, before beating Togo 1-0 and then drawing 0-0 with Ghana. Burkina Faso finished the group stage in second place in Group A with 5 points.

The two semi-finals are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 20, at the 4 August Stadium in Ouagadougou.
