WAFU-A U20: Group A concludes this Wednesday in Bamako

Final matchday of Group A in the WAFU-A qualifying tournament for the U20 Africa Cup of Nations this Wednesday in Bamako. Two matches are scheduled for 4 p.m. GMT, with very different stakes for the four teams.

Mali playing for pride, Liberia still hoping

After their two 0-1 defeats against Guinea and then Gambia, Mali are already eliminated. The Aiglons face Liberia at Stade Mamadou Konaté in their final outing.
Liberia, who drew 0-0 with Gambia before losing 0-1 to Guinea, still have a chance of qualifying. A win against Mali is essential if they are to hope to reach the semi-finals.

Guinea and Gambia battle for first place

The other match will pit Guinea against Gambia at Stade Ouezzin Coulibaly. Guinea, Group A leaders with six points after their 1-0 wins over Mali and Liberia, have already qualified.
Gambia have 4 points. A draw would be enough for the Scorpions to retain the second qualifying spot.
