2026 World Cup - Belgium: Jérémy Doku returns

Manchester City winger Jérémy Doku had left the Red Devils squad for a quick trip back to England.

With his son born yesterday in England, Jérémy Doku had departed Belgium’s 2026 World Cup camp to be present at the birth of his child. The team had even announced that the winger would miss the match against New Zealand due to a respiratory infection. But today, Doku is back on American soil.

🚨🗣️ Jeremy Doku: "Thank you to everyone for the love, prayers and kind messages over the past few days. Shireen and Praise are doing great, and my heart is full of gratitude. Welcoming my son into the world is one of the greatest blessings God has ever given me."
