2026 World Cup - France: Les Bleus celebrate Guy Stéphan

Guy Stéphan took charge of the French national team’s match against Norway at this 2026 World Cup in the absence of Didier Deschamps.

While Les Bleus’ head coach returned to France for a few days to attend his mother’s funeral, Guy Stéphan stepped in as interim manager. He led the team against Norway (4-1) in their final group stage match of this World Cup.

After the victory, the French players paid him a heartfelt tribute in the dressing room. They applauded him warmly, chanting several times "Bravo, Guy".
