A 3 month nightmare? Dieng’s agent fires back at reports of a forced Valencia exit
Aliou Dieng's agent has firmly denied reports that the former Al Ahly midfielder could leave Valencia CF during the January 2027 transfer window, insisting that the Mali international intends to continue his career in Spain.
The 28 year old midfielder has faced growing uncertainty over his future at Mestalla, just three months after joining the Spanish club on a free transfer from Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
Spanish newspaper AS recently reported that Valencia were considering making Dieng available for transfer in January as part of plans to reduce their wage bill and create financial room for new signings.
However, his agent has rejected suggestions that his client is preparing to leave, maintaining that the midfielder remains committed to establishing himself in La Liga.

Aliou Dieng's agent responds to Valencia exit rumours
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Maghreb-Foot on 13 October, his agent dismissed reports suggesting that Dieng could be sold during the upcoming winter transfer window.
"There is no truth in what is being said" the Egyptian representative insisted when addressing speculation about the midfielder's future.
He also rejected suggestions that Dieng's performances had caused dissatisfaction within Valencia.
Khaled Maghrabi made his position clear regarding the player's immediate future.
"He will stay with the team, God willing" he added.
The comments underline Dieng's determination to continue his European adventure rather than seek another move only months after leaving Egyptian football.
Nevertheless, the agent's assurances reflect the player's position and do not constitute an official statement from Valencia ruling out a January transfer.
Why has Dieng's future at Valencia come under scrutiny?
Dieng's limited playing time has contributed to questions about his role in the squad.
The Malian international made five appearances under former coach Carlos Corberán, starting twice before a managerial change complicated his situation.
He subsequently remained on the bench against Deportivo Alavés and Real Sociedad during Óscar Sánchez's spell as interim manager.
However, the midfielder returned to action on 11 October coming on in the 85th minute of Valencia's 2-2 draw against Racing Santander.
The appearance came under new head coach Javier Aguirre, who replaced Corberán in September.
As Foot Africa reported following Aguirre's appointment, Valencia turned to the experienced Mexican manager after a difficult start to the 2026/27 season.
According to AS, the club could consider allowing Dieng to leave in January to free up resources for squad reinforcements.
However, Dieng reportedly believes he is still adapting to Spanish football and wants an opportunity to earn Aguirre's confidence.
Dieng determined to establish himself after leaving Al Ahly
Dieng joined Valencia on 7 July, signing a two year contract until June 2028 as confirmed in the club's official announcement.
His arrival followed a successful seven-year spell at Al Ahly where he developed into an important figure in the Egyptian club's midfield.
The Mali international made 250 official appearances and won several major trophies, including four CAF Champions League titles.
His departure from Al Ahly was officially confirmed in June bringing an end to a memorable chapter in Cairo.
Valencia had previously been monitoring the midfielder's situation, with Foot Africa reporting the Spanish club's interest in January.
Having secured his first move to a major European league, Dieng appears determined to give himself more time to succeed in Spain.
