According to Senegalese journalist Mansour Loum, appointing the new head coach is one of the main points on the agenda.

At the same time, Patrick Vieira arrived in Senegal on Monday morning, further fueling speculation about his imminent appointment as head coach of the "Lions of Teranga."

Loum discussed these latest developments in a post on his personal account, writing:

"FSF Emergency Committee meeting via video this Monday, with the new Lions head coach as the main topic. Meanwhile, Patrick Vieira has arrived in Senegal."

The former French international boasts a wealth of experience on the bench, gained through several managerial stints in Europe and North America. He began his coaching career with Manchester City's youth teams before taking charge of New York City FC, OGC Nice, Crystal Palace, Strasbourg, and then Genoa in Italy.

In total, Patrick Vieira has managed 413 matches during his coaching career, averaging 1.40 points per game, according to Transfermarkt data.
