FC Basel is closely monitoring Abdoulaye Doumbia. The Swiss club has reportedly already contacted BK Häcken to discuss a potential transfer for the Ivorian midfielder.

At just 18 years old, Doumbia has quickly made his mark in Sweden since arriving from ASEC Mimosas. This season, he has featured in nine league matches—starting eight of them—and has scored one goal.

His performances have not gone unnoticed across Europe. In addition to FC Basel, several French clubs—including Nice, Strasbourg, and Rennes—are also keeping a close eye on his progress. Under contract with BK Häcken until 2030, the player represents a long-term investment for his club. Still, Basel hopes to make headway in what remains an open transfer saga.
