Abdeslam Ouaddou has carved out a place in Orlando Pirates' history books by stretching the club's extraordinary unbeaten streak in the Betway Premiership even further.

The Soweto giants' head coach has now presided over 20 league fixtures without tasting defeat, making him the first manager in the club's PSL era to reach such a milestone.

Orlando Pirates' run stretches all the way back to February 2026, with Ouaddou's men collecting 15 victories and five draws along the way.

The feat lifts Ouaddou above some of the club's most decorated coaches when it comes to prolonged unbeaten league sequences.

That 20-game unbeaten sequence now stands as the longest in Orlando Pirates' PSL-era history.

The benchmark it surpasses belonged to Dutch tactician Ruud Krol, whose side went 19 league matches without losing back in 2009.

Further down the list sit Ted Dumitru and Kosta Papic, each of whom managed 17-match unbeaten league runs.

The record arrives amid a strong spell for the Buccaneers, who have cemented their place among South African football's frontrunners.

That unbeaten stretch has also reinforced Orlando Pirates' form on the road, with the club still yet to be beaten away from home.

The milestone adds another notable chapter to Ouaddou's reign, coming as the Buccaneers keep up their challenge near the summit of the Betway Premiership.
