AC Milan wants to extend Luka Modrić's contract

Luka Modrić could continue his adventure with AC Milan. According to Corriere dello Sport, the Lombardy club's management has presented a one-year contract extension offer to the Croatian veteran.

At 40, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner has once again proven his immense value in Milan’s midfield. His impressive performances have convinced the club to do everything in their power to keep him. The Rossoneri’s new head coach, Ruben Amorim, has made no secret of his desire to continue working with the former Real Madrid star:

I want Modrić to stay. I’ve spoken with him and, if necessary, I’ll go get him myself. I want him with us this season.

After Croatia was knocked out in the round of 16 of the World Cup, Luka Modrić is currently enjoying a few days of rest. A response to Milan’s offer is expected in the coming days, and an agreement appears closer than ever.
